About Ahmari

Ahmari Anthony is an award-winning multimedia journalist and editor. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and is currently studying journalism and English at Howard University. In her career, Ahmari is interested in reporting on movements, communities, and cultures that have been historically neglected by traditional journalism, as well as analyzing the systems and societies that push those people to the margins. She is also passionate about making news accessible through digital and other innovative media approaches and platforms. Using the powers of storytelling, education, analysis, and investigation, Ahmari hopes to build a better world for herself and her descendants. She also hopes to empower and challenge her readers to do the same.
